Berini's victory represents more than just winning a contest, it's the culmination of an extraordinary four-year transformation that began in the depths of depression and has led to eight NPC class wins and three overall champion awards in men's physique competition.
From Rock Bottom to Champion
The 2021 post-COVID era found Berini at his lowest point, weighing 230 pounds and struggling with severe depression. "I remember looking in the mirror and feeling so disgusted with myself," Berini recalls. "I had zero self-love and felt completely hopeless." It was during this dark period that he discovered a photo of Jeremy Buendia on Instagram, a moment that would change everything.
"Seeing a photo of Jeremy didn't just give me inspiration—it gave me HOPE," Berini explains. "There were brighter days to come after hearing his story of overcoming similar mental barriers and adversity to become the world-class men's physique bodybuilding champion he is known as today."
That single moment of inspiration sparked a remarkable transformation. Less than a year after hiring his first coach and beginning his fitness journey, Berini stepped onto the competition stage for the first time, and won the overall champion in the men's physique division.
