Director of Data Analytics (Social Media & NetSuite)

Position Overview

The Director of Data Analytics for Social Media and NetSuite is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of data-driven insights across both digital marketing and enterprise operations. This role oversees advanced analytics for social media performance and customer engagement, while also managing NetSuite data reporting and integrations to provide leadership with a holistic view of business performance.

The ideal candidate is both technically strong and strategically minded, with experience building analytics frameworks that unify marketing data and enterprise systems into actionable intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Platform Social Media & Marketing Analyst

  • Develop and oversee analytics strategies for social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok,  X, YouTube, etc.) and selling platforms i.e. Amazon, Tik Tok Shop, and NetSuite for internal company financial reporting and ad hoc report(s) development.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness, audience engagement, and ROI across organic and paid channels.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools to communicate performance to marketing and executive teams.
  • Apply predictive modeling and sentiment analysis to optimize targeting, creative, and customer engagement strategies.

Data Science & Modeling

  • Build predictive and prescriptive models for customer segmentation, lifetime value (CLV), churn prediction, and campaign optimization.
  • Develop and refine attribution models to evaluate the impact of digital channels and guide budget allocation.
  • Apply machine learning techniques to forecast campaign performance and identify growth opportunities.

Marketing Analytics

  • Analyze performance across paid search, display, social, email, SEO, and web to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Design A/B and multivariate tests to measure the effectiveness of creative, targeting, and channel strategies.
  • Create dashboards and automated reports to communicate key metrics and KPIs.

Data Strategy & Integration

  • Partner with marketing, product, and data engineering teams to ensure high-quality data pipelines and seamless integration across platforms (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, CDPs, CRMs).
  • Support data governance, ensuring compliance with privacy and data security regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

Collaboration & Communication

  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for marketing teams and executives.
  • Advise on data-driven strategies that improve ROI and enhance the customer journey.     

NetSuite Data & Business Analytics

  • Lead data governance, reporting, and analytics within NetSuite to support finance, sales, and operations.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and business performance metrics in NetSuite and integrated BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Partner with IT and finance teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and reliable data integrations across systems (CRM, ERP, marketing automation).
  • Provide executives with data-driven insights that connect marketing performance to revenue and operational outcomes.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing analytics culture for both marketing and business intelligence.
  • Partner with marketing, finance, sales, and operations teams to deliver unified insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay current on social media analytics trends, NetSuite capabilities, and emerging tools to continuously enhance data strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3–6+ years of experience applying data science techniques in marketing or digital environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or R, with experience in libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  •  Familiarity with marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo) and analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics).
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Solid understanding of marketing KPIs, attribution modeling, and experimentation design.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise with social media analytics platforms (native platform tools, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Brandwatch, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite reporting, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, and SuiteScript.
  • Proficiency in BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing KPIs, attribution modeling, and campaign measurement.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and advanced analytics a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale data teams in complex organizations.
